STAND STRONG!!!
I once stood in a place where betrayal crossed my threshold and sin knocked and crouched at my door, waiting for an opportunity to strip my faith. As fiery darts of hatred penetrated my mind and endangered my position, (Christ covering) my fears and pain came to fruition. The violence in my flesh rose up, hoping I wouldn't resist and surrender my choice. (Rebellion). Revenge and vengeance made a legitimate case but my desire to obey Christ overwhelmed my flesh and allowed my soul freedom to trust his guidance. I was able to maintain for a while but as time progressed, doubt and discouragement crept in. Now depression and regret wants in, to inhabit and control my soul but Christ's peace covered me and kept me safe. I had no grounds to neither hate nor retaliate because I belonged to Christ and the battle was his and not mine. His wisdom told me to hold and be still, while he fought for me, once again. I was amazed to see the storm weaken, especially when its abrasive winds lost its bite. As my obedience and patience increased, my passion and focus to help others also increased. I discovered Christ not only fought my battle but he restored hope in those around me...
My strength increased as I praised and worshiped his name, Christ Jesus, the name above every other name. And as I focused on his word
and kingdom work I realized I was freed from the bondage of pain and hurt. I am
stronger today than I was yesterday and I boast more in my father's name. (JC) When everything has been added
up and accounted for, the truth deposited in me, stood strong and created a
greater testimony in the storm...
Every person who accepts Christ, all have to go through the valley of death (Psalm 23) because in the valley there’s testing of everyone’s faith. If you are in this place, God's word, says he will never forsake you but first! you must accept you are a sinner and in need of a redeemer. So choose to STAND and your decision will move you forward.
There are only 2 choices, the first is giving up and allowing doubt to diminish your faith, the other is increasing your faith by trusting Christ enough to depend on him. The valley will consume you if you accept the lie that you're helpless and worthless. This deception leads to depression, addiction and manifested fears of self-hatred . In other words the enemy (Satan) has taken hold and now wants to devour you.
We all will experience the valley but our decision will lead us in one of two directions, closer to Christ or further away. This is how God designed it and for every fight there’s an opportunity to grow and become a greater fighter! Remember, the strength of a man/woman is not measured by his/her statue but by the size of his/her adversary!
