THE LIGHT!!!
When I was in darkness, I was blind, deaf & dumb.
When I lived to promote self, I often chased pride, hate & sadness.
When I followed the world, it led me into darkness.
Relationships were hard, even when it seemed easy to get involved.
Chasing after materials were an endless passion,
clubbing was my release but it never lasted,
friendships were short-lived and lacked honor and integrity.
I am so thankful Christ never forgot me, he kept sending messages to get my attention.
I'm so grateful, I remember the incident, the bullet never had its way,
yes, lord, you have my undivided attention.
I had so many questions, after that day, who was that voice that told me not to go.
Why was I saved to live another day? And now today, where do I go to repay.
I learned about the lord's sacrifice and what he did for me.
His love cleansed, refreshed & encompassed me, although I was wretched, selfish, and damaged.
The church was new for me but my hunger grew exponentially and anticipated every move of the Holy Spirit cautiously. Christ light grew in me so bright, I had to stand on a hill so all sight, without doubt, the lord's blessing was in me.
The light was alive, protecting, preserving, directing, reflecting, devoting, nourishing, reinforcing
developing, uplifting, restoring, empowering, encouraging, forgiving, enduring, relaxing, teaching, orchestrating, strengthening, witnessing & most of all, eternal & inexhaustible.
Every day I increase in strength, wisdom, and love and my mistakes are no longer condemning but a place of forgiveness & restoring also temporary and without momentum or bondage.
I am sold out for the will of God and completely desirable of his purpose for my life.
The light of the Lord is my life source, life-sustaining & life resolve, all for the glory of my savior,
redeemer, Jesus Christ, forever & ever. Amen!
